Auguste Renoir - Famous Master Biography

Auguste Renoir was born 25 February, 1841 in Limoges, a city located in southern central France, famous for its porcelain. Renoir was the sixth child of Margaret and Leonard, who was a Nebogatogo tailor.

Renoir moving to Paris

Renoir first success in painting

Renoir knew first taste of success in 1864 when one of his paintings passed strict selection and was exhibited at the Salon, an annual public art exhibition. In 1865, at the home of another of his comrade, artist Jules Le Kerala, he met a 16-year-old girlfriend Lisa Treo, which soon became a beloved Renoir and his favorite model. Their relationship continued until 1872, when Lisa left Renoir and married another.

Renoir's fame
